The Seattle Somali community, protesting FBI “anti-terrorist” raids, marched towards downtown. Meanwhile, anti-WTO protestors, hearing about the Somali march, diverted their planned march to join in common cause.

2.  Behind the Flag (21.25 minutes)
Knowing that events are best understood in a historical context, we reached into the archives for this piece, produced immediately after the Gulf War, to provide some perspective on what is happening now.

3.  Filipinas Vigil Against War & the Trafficking of Women (3 minutes)
The trafficking of women is only exceeded, worldwide, by the trafficking of weapons and drugs.

Seattle ’s El Centro de la Raza included alters to those who have died from smoking and the victims of US bombing in Afghanistan .
